Many of the County Links on the left will keep you specifically in or near Selinsgrove and Snyder County in the Susquehanna Valley of PA. We add new listings and links on a regular basis.

Snyder County is located about an hour north of Harrisburg, PA along the Susquehanna River in the heart of the Susquehanna Valley. It is within a day's drive of 75,000,000 people living from Canada to Florida to Chicago. From here you can easily reach the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania, the Poconos, Lancaster County PA (home of the Amish and hundreds of outlet stores), - all within several hours drive.

Or, you can explore our forests, fields and streams. The West Branch of the Susquehanna is recognized as a superb bass fishery while smaller streams, like White Deer and Penn's Creek are recognized as excellent trout streams. Middle Creek Lake holds bass, muskies, pickeral and panfish. Walter Lake is known for its trophy size bass and trout. World famous Penn's Creek, known for its' trout fishing, meets the Susquehanna River at Selinsgrove.

Boating on the Susquehanna has become popular and the Fish Commission has developed access ramps at many locations along the river. The impoundment of the north and west branches of the Susquehanna at Sunbury is a busy boating area complete with marina and boat rentals. Hunters flock to this region each fall to stalk whitetail deer, black bear and wild turkey. Increasingly more and more people are taking advantage of opportunities to stalk wildlife with cameras instead of rifles and shotguns.
